Tanzwut

Following the success of their 2024 album Achtung Mensch! and its accompanying tour, TANZWUT wasted no time. Frontman Teufel and the band returned to the studio, and while the summer festival circuit kept them on stage, new songs were already taking shape: danceable, lyrically sharp, darkly poetic, and delivered with the knowing wit that has always set TANZWUT apart.

The result is Herz aus Stein (Heart of Stone), released September 4, 2026. It is not a polished rock album. It is an honest reckoning with the coldness of our times, and an embrace for those who feel lost within it.

Anyone familiar with TANZWUT's history knows this band has never been quiet when there was something to say. Since their beginnings on the marketplaces, when bagpipes still sounded like a rebellion against modernity, they have constantly evolved and yet never abandoned their roots as minstrels. The pipes remain. So does the defiance.

Herz aus Stein is a carnival of emotions: punk-driven fury in "No Future," the biting introspection of "Die Sänger singen noch" (a song that asks whether human singers might soon be a dying breed), and the raw tenderness of the title track and "Ewig wie das Eis." Heavy riffs, trademark bagpipes, delicate violin, and cello. Music that chases you into the mosh pit and then grabs you by the heart.

"We started out as minstrels who wanted to get people dancing," says Teufel. "Today we realise that people don't just need noise to feel free, but also silence to reconnect with themselves. Herz aus Stein is loud enough to tear down walls, and quiet enough to see the cracks in them."

The album is followed by a tour across Germany and beyond. Catch them live. They are, after all, still singing.
